InterGlobe Announces Major Expansion of ibis Hotel Network in India<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

InterGlobe Hotels\u201a the India joint venture of Accor and InterGlobe Enterprises\u201a today announced a significant expansion of its ibis hotel network across India. InterGlobe Hotels was established in mid-2004 as a joint venture between InterGlobe and Accor (60:40)\u201a to develop a network of 25 ibis hotels with 3\u201a000 rooms across India over a period of 12 years. The venture today announced that it has 19 hotels with 3\u201a600 rooms committed. This portfolio will have a total asset value\u201a inclusive of land of approximately Rs.1478Cr (US $317MN) on the completion of the hotels.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

ibis hotels in India currently committed are located across 12 cities \u2013 New Delhi\u201a Gurgaon\u201a Mumbai\u201a Bangalore\u201a Chennai\u201a Pune\u201a Ahmedabad\u201a\u201a Hyderabad\u201a Jaipur\u201a Nashik\u201a Coimbatore\u201a Kochi. With an average size of 190 keys (the largest being 465 keys)\u201a 12 of these hotels are concentrated in Tier I cities\u201a while seven are located in Tier II cities\u201a as the group selectively ventures into cities showing significant economic growth. Two hotels are open\u201a one more will open this year\u201a and seven hotels will open in 2011.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Immediate target cities identified for development are Mumbai\u201a Hyderabad\u201a Kolkata\u201a NOIDA\u201a Chandigarh\u201a Nagpur\u201a Bhubaneshwar\u201a Vadodara and Goa. A further six hotels are expected to be committed over the next 12-month period\u201a and the venture has ambitions to add 4-6 ibis hotels to its portfolio every year going forward.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
