Adding to many firsts to its credit, IndiGo yesterday became the first Indian carrier to operate 1000 plus flights in a day. Flight 6E 185 from Mumbai to Cochin took off on the 22nd of December 2017 at 23:15 pm to become 1000th flight for the first time in the history of Indian civil aviation. IndiGo also took the delivery of its 31st Airbus A-320 Neo aircraft on the same day to join its ever growing fleet making the first Indian carrier with 150 aircraft fleet. The milestone underlines IndiGo\u2019s position as the country\u2019s largest and fastest-growing carrier with 150 Airbus connecting 46 destinations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In addition to this, IndiGo has also announced its 50th destination, Vijayawada (VGA) for sale on the 22nd of December 2017. Flights to Vijayawada (VGA), Andhra Pradesh, will commence operations on the 2nd of March 2018. This destination is a part of our turboprop routes and will open in the third phase of our ATR operations. IndiGo ATR flights will now connect Vijayawada to Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The above announcements have come just after the carrier\u2019s first ATR flight on Hyderabad \u2013 Mangalore sector on December 21, 2017 boosting regional connectivity.
